View any OpenAPI spec as documentation

Raw OpenAPI files are hard to read. This online OpenAPI viewer turns a JSON or YAML spec into browsable reference docs: endpoints grouped by tag, request parameters and bodies, response schemas, examples, and generated code snippets. It works with OpenAPI 3.2, 3.1, 3.0 and Swagger 2.0 files, and you never have to create an account to use it.

  1. 1. Paste, upload, or link your spec. JSON and YAML are detected automatically.
  2. 2. Click Render docs. The spec is checked and turned into a documentation page.
  3. 3. Share the link. Each render gets a private, unguessable URL that stays live for 48 hours.

Frequently asked questions

Is this OpenAPI viewer free? +

Yes. Viewing a spec is free and needs no sign-up. Paste, upload, or link a JSON or YAML file and the documentation renders immediately. An account is only needed if you want to publish the docs on a permanent URL.

Which OpenAPI and Swagger versions can I view? +

OpenAPI 3.2, 3.1 and 3.0 are supported, as well as Swagger 2.0. The version is detected from the spec, so there is nothing to configure.

Can I share the rendered documentation? +

Yes. Every render gets a private, unguessable link that you can send to teammates. The link stays live for 48 hours; publish the docs for free if you need a permanent URL.

Why won't my spec render? +

The viewer only renders specs that pass validation. If yours has errors, they are listed next to the editor; the OpenAPI Validator shows each one with its line number and a suggested fix.

Is this a Swagger UI alternative? +

It covers the same need — reading a spec as browsable docs — without installing or hosting Swagger UI. You get endpoint navigation, request and response schemas, examples and code snippets from a single paste.

Is my spec stored? +

To render the documentation, the spec is saved as a temporary preview that expires after 48 hours. It is not listed anywhere and can only be reached through its link.
